Lonneke van Straalen is a versatile musician. She founded the music festival, now called “September me”, in Amersfoort and is the founder of “Pynarello”, an adventurous collective of musicician playing a wide variety of repertoire from Beethoven symphonies to contemporary jazz. Since it’s foundation two years ago, Pynarello already played in Holland’s major concert halls and toured Indonesia.
Lonneke performed on many stages and in many festivals as a soloist, a chamber musician, as a maker of musical theatre for children and as an orchestra musician with, among others, the “Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra”, the “Aurora Orchestra” and the “Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal”.
Lonneke is a member of the “Netherlands Chamber Orchestra” and of “Splendor Amsterdam”, a laboratory of music of any style. She was awarded the “Prix Madeleine Margot” by the “Société Gavigniès”. She plays a violin from 1786 build by Johannes Cuypers, loaned to her by the “Nationaal Muziekinstrumentenfonds”
